It was two years into my MC career as I was providing sound for a ceremony. The bride and groom gave heartfelt personally written vows, the groom was getting emotional and letting it show as he spoke them to his soon to be wife. It was beautiful, and loving, and it was then that I realized I made the right choice in being a wedding professional. I felt the emotions that all the guests felt. I could see his closest friends and family all sharing in the joy and love they had for each other. The party later that night was a reflection of that love, and it made my job easy as everyone danced in celebration of that love. While that has happened hundreds of times after for hundreds of couples I have worked with, that celebration of love between two people is why I love what I do.

WHY DO YOU LOVE YOUR JOB?

I love bringing magic to events. The magic of making things happen without anyone noticing - capitalizing on moments by playing the right song or having the lights just right enhances the experience of guests in subtle ways. The result, however, is nothing short of magical. It's the difference between, "It was good, the food was good and we danced a little," and what I strive for: "That was the most incredible and amazing wedding I've ever been to!" It's those subtle enhancements and "magic" that I try to add that can be that difference. It is the most rewarding part of the job when I see the joy in the families and clients I work with manifested in those events.
